At Cowal Golf Club, Dunoon, our mission is simple - to provide the best possible experience for golf enthusiasts of all levels. We are dedicated to offering a challenging course and a welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home. We believe that golf is more than just a sport - it's a way of life. That's why we strive to create a community of like-minded individuals who share our passion for the game and our commitment to ensuring Cowal Golf Club thrives.

The Course

A James Braid-designed course, Cowal Golf Club is laid out over 12-holes (with a 6-hole loop after the first 11-holes to play 18) looking across some of Scotland's' most majestic scenery.

Dress

At Cowal Golf Club, we don't bother with dress regulations, we just ask that you respect the game.  The Course is hilly in parts, and we will come clean and say that the West Coast of Scotland get's a wee bit of rain and parts of the Course can get slippy: we advise golf shoes if you have them!

Etiquette

Please, please replace divots and repair pitch-marks on the Greens. It goes without saying you should leave bunkers as you would wish to find them. Please take all your litter home, or pop it into the nearest bin.

Wave faster players through - or if they are on their own, why not ask them to join you?

We don't ban mobile phones (far too many great picture opportunities) but please consider other players.

If there are players in front and you think your ball is heading that way, please shout FORE!!!  Take care teeing off on the 7th for fellow golfers to the right on the 11th tee and 10th green.

Dog Walkers

Cowal Golf Club is a great place to walk your dog, especially the old bottom six holes, where they can have a good run. Elsewhere, dogs should be under control at all times, and on leads if being walked on the active areas of the course. Please respect our course, and try to keep Tiddles off the Greens and out of the bunkers. It goes without saying, please pick up anything Tiddles decides to deposit, bag it and take it home. Our maintenance team of volunteers have found out the hard way that strimmers and dog mess are a disgusting combination. It would be appreciated if used doggie bags were not placed in bins - we rely on volunteers to empty them, and it's not really their job to fish out doggie bags: so please, be respectful and take them home.

Litter

Please do put your litter, cans, sweet wrappers etc. in one of the bins, or take it home.
